I'm probably going to get into trouble for this one.
And, yes, I do know the serious side of this issue. But sometimes we have to laugh at the things we fear, right?

My partner Jeff goes surfing at least once a week. This cartoon reflects how we both like to think about sharks…

Confession: Martha is actually me…or my hairdresser.
My hairdresser had two different pots of exotic herbal tea going while I was having my hair cut. Part way through my cut she ducked into the kitchen and brought out the most beautiful Chinese teapot and a small handleless cup.
Then, amongst the hairdryers and overhead sounds of indie, she poured the tea for me in the most delicate way. It was ceremony.
We both agreed that the tea was more important than the hair on that day.

Of course, this cartoon is based on the seven dwarfs from the story of Snow White (by The Brothers Grim, published waaaaay back in 1812).
Apparently these guys were originally unnamed. But in 1937 Disney decided to Christen them in order to create the first ever feature-length cartoon.
My cartoon (above) was inspired by another 7 Dwarfs cartoon going around called 'The 7 Dwarfs of Menopause' (concept by, I believe, Suzanne Somers and a popular version drawn by Dan Collins).
The concept behind '7 Dwarfs who didn't make the cut' was created my partner, Jeff Shearer, and his brilliant friend Sally Cox. Jeff and Sally are certainly not 'height-challenged' when it comes to comedic prowess. I bow to their natural talent for chuckles.

This cartoon came out of my imagination this morning (the subconscious is that other reality).
Still wondering what it's 'really' saying.
While I often like to escape reality altogether into my imagination…and the imaginations of others….perhaps this cartoon says 'real reality' isn't so bad. It could even be called 'our purple patch'. What do you think?

I was going to put this on my other blog site My Marketing Thing, but seemed to fit in the 'general chuckle' category.
This cartoon is dedicated for anyone who has worked freelance in marketing and had trouble getting paid for their trouble (we are human too…).

I saw the movie 'Cold Souls' recently, which had an extraordinarily creative interpretation on how our souls might look. The main character's soul looked like a chickpea. This was quite disappointing for the guy. Other people's souls were likely to be more substantial than that (we hope).
The cartoon above gestures towards the more mainstream idea of 'new souls' and 'old souls'. Of course, everyone wants to hear that they are an old soul. But surely we can't ALL be old souls??
Let's make the idea of being a 'new soul' or even a 'middle-aged soul' more attractive, shall we?

This one was inspired by Jeff's comment for the 'Twitter meets the peace dove' cartoon. Thanks, Jeff.
Peace to all creatures large, small and kinda funky.

Let there be a silent night…and other silent non-Tweeting times…during this Christmas season.
