Wagner opera and hospital cartoon

This cartoon was created for my Dad for Father's Day. Dad's a Wagnerian opera buff who has recently been in hospital. So I tried for a double-whammy.

A few years ago when I was living in New York, I bought a ticket to Parsifal at the Met – at my father's urging. The opera's grandeur was impressive…but that didn't stop me falling asleep half-way through. My god, it's a long opera.

If you have seen the Coppola film Apocalypse Now, the Ride of the Valkyries is the famous 'gee up' music when that swarm of choppers fly in.
